Gwen (49): Breast cancer. Mastectomy, radio & chemotherapy. Recurrence in liver, relapse chemotherapy.
Continuing with medication, Arimedex & Prednisolone. Florida for 21 days.
Barbara (9): Bilateral Wilms tumour. Resection removed one kidney and tumour on the second.
Chemotherapy completed. Recurrence in lung. Now no medication. EuroDisney for 3 days.
Norman (13): Germ cell tumour on pituitary. Chemo & radiotherapy completed. Relapse and relapse
protocol completed. Replacement hormone therapy ongoing. Spain for 7 days.
Callum (14): Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Chemotherapy completed. Relapse, chemotherapy followed by
unrelated bone marrow transplant. Relapse, January 2004. No ongoing medication other than prophylactic
penicillin. Portugal for 14 days.
Pauline (11): Osteosarcoma right leg. Resected titanium prosthesis inserted. Secondaries in Lung , relapse
chemotherapy completed. Portugal for 7 days.
Chris (44): Epitheloid Hemangioendothelioma liver and lungs. Chemotherapy completed. Now no
medication and stable. Sweden for 3 days.
Wilf (67): Diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme 3 months ago. Resection followed by radiotherapy. Travelling
to France for 7 days.
Olive (2): Diagnosed occipital glioma aged 5 months. Resection and chemotherapy. Relapse, resection
and chemotherapy. Florida for 10 days.
Will (8): Diagnosed hepatic rhabdomyosarcoma aged 7. Resection and recently completed chemotherapy.
Holland for 8 days.
Richard (19): Osteosarcoma, secondaries in lung chemo & radiotherapy. Medication stopped other than
painkillers. USA for 21 days.
Angela (53): Metastatic malignant melanoma on face, resection. Recurrence, ribs, breast & chest.
Commenced Cisplatin & Interlucan 2, as well as radiotherapy. Florida for 16 days.
Blake (9): Congenital heart disease diagnosed at birth. Surgery at 3 months old. Surgery stent for
coarctation of aorta, aortic valve replacement with mechanical valve. Greece for 7 days.
Tracy (12): Ewing's sarcoma femur. Resection femur and endoprosthesis inserted. Chemotherapy
completed. Recurrence in lungs, commenced chemotherapy. Now on Etoposide. Sweden for 3 days.
Sarah (11): Gastrointestinal tumour with liver involvement, resection to remove 80% of stomach, relapse,
surgery and lumpectomy, Glivec ongoing. USA 16 days.
Keith (14): Septo-optic dysplasia at birth leading to hypopituitarism and some loss of sight. Hormone
replacement therapy ongoing. Tenerife for 14 days.
Victor (56): Mesothelioma left lung. Completed radio & chemotherapy, now no medication. Med Cruise for
17 days.
Matthew (11) Diagnosed Cohn's disease 39 months ago. Immunotherapy and Ileostomy. Myelodysplasia
associated with monosomy 7 syndrome diagnosed 5 months ago. Bone marrow transplant planned.
Eurodisney for 6 days.
Bernard (15): Diagnosed rhabdomyosarcoma testicle and spine 7 months ago. Chemotherapy and
radiotherapy completed. Recurrence followed by radiotherapy. Medications include: Sevredol, Celecoxib,
Fentanyl patch. EuroDisney for 6 days.
Donald (59): Diagnosed renal cell carcinoma with bony metastases, commenced Provera and ongoing. Also
ulcerative colitis with pan-proctocolectomy 3 months ago. Greece for 15 days.
Lesley (23): Craniopharyngioma, resection & chemotherapy. USA for 5 days.
Wanda (65): Breast cancer diagnosed 1993, mastectomy, chemo & radiotherapy. Relapse, secondaries
spine and shoulder. Spain for 14 days.
Peter (11): Diagnosed Cystinosis. Now on haemodialysis and requires kidney transplant. Gastrostomy since
1993. Requires wheelchair. EuroDisney for 4 days.
Lesley (10): Severe cerebral palsy, spastic quadriplegia at birth, wheelchair bound, stomach tube. Portugal
for 10 days.
Keith (34): Diagnosed Rhabdomyosarcoma nasal cavity. Chemotherapy completed. Now no medication
apart from hormone replacement. Florida for 21 days.
Yvonne (21): Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia. Interferon then Glivec still ongoing. USA for 21 days.
Janet (71): Rectal cancer diagnosed. Resection and chemotherapy. Recurrence in liver, resection. Relapse
spine & breast. Chemotherapy completed. Grand Cayman for 21 days.
Alice (6): Cardiomyopathy, heart transplant, now on routine followup. Spain for 7 days.
Donald (7): Diagnosed paratesticular rhabdomyosarcoma 7 months ago. Resection followed by
chemotherapy. Florida for 15 days.
Gwen (50): Diagnosed breast cancer 27 months ago with brain and ovarian metastases. Radiotherapy and
Zoladex implant. Italy for 7 days.
John: Angiosarcoma right leg. Resection, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Recurrence same location and in
lungs. Chemotherapy ongoing. France 10 days.
Mary (75): Pseudomyxoma peritonei. Debulking on diagnosis and again 2 years later. Spain for 7 days.
Edward (63): Squamous carcinoma lung with bony metastases. Radiotherapy ongoing. Spain for 7 days.
Madeline (3): Medulloblastoma diagnosed at 2 years. Chemotherapy ongoing. Eurodisney for 7 days.
Sarah (70): Diagnosed small cell lung cancer 8 months ago. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy completed.
Medications include liquid morphine. Spain for 14 days.
Linda (3): Diagnosed hepatoblastoma, liver transplant but progressive disease. Medications include
codeine and prednisolone. EuroDisney for 7 days.
Sam (71): Diagnosed Colon cancer with liver involvement 6 months ago. Resection followed by
chemotherapy still ongoing. Norway for 7 days.
Mary (52): Diagnosed breast cancer 12 months ago. Chemotherapy followed by mastectomy five months
ago. Radiotherapy completed. Spain for 14 days.
Charles (12): Diagnosed osteosarcoma right femur with pulmonary involvement 13 months ago. Resection
and endoprosthesis inserted. Chemotherapy completed. Lung resection 2 months ago. Spain for 6 days.
Ruth (50): Diagnosed aplastic anaemia 12 months ago. medications: cyclosporin on going. Spain for 8 days.
Nigella (54): Diagnosed non small cell lung cancer 18 months ago. Chemo and radiotherapy completed.

Ivy (85): diagnosed ovarian cancer. Chemotherapy completed achieving partial remission. Also DVT,

Paul (21): Diagnosed Ewing's sarcoma thigh, 24 months ago. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy completed.
Relapse, lung metastases 6 months ago, resection and high dose chemotherapy completed 2 months ago.

Edwin (19): Diagnosed intracranial germ cell tumour 18 months ago, now with spinal involvement.
Chemotherapy & radiotherapy completed 1 month ago. Spain for 10 days.

Medications include zoledronic acid, Oxycontin and Arimedex. Guernsey for 7 days.
Jodi (6): Optic chiasm glioma, chemotherapy completed. Now registered blind, Florida for 16 days.
Olivia (34): Renal failure 1995, kidney transplant. Acute pyelonephritis 1997. Now Burkett's lymphoma,
chemotherapy completed. Tacrolimus, Enalapril, EPO, Atenolol, Renagel, HRT ongoing. Turkey for 8 days.
Keith (60): Hilar cholangiocarcinoma stent insertion but no treatment to date. Mediterranean cruise for 13
days.
Gillian (46): Metastatic breast cancer with pulmonary, liver and skeletal involvement. Chemotherapy
recently completed, Pamidronate and Arimedex ongoing. Mediterranean Cruise for 8 days.
